A Message Indicating Streaming Media Receiving Failure Is Displayed When You View Live Video on the Web Page of an IPC

Issue Description
Applicable Models:
The fault may occur on the following models of IPCs: IPC2601-P, IPC5601-P, IPC2701-P, IPC5701-P, IPC2811-WD-Z20, IPC5811-WD-Z20, IPC2611-LTE, IPC2611-F, IPC5611-F, IPC5611-WD-F, IPC6111-I, IPC6111-L1-I, IPC6121-I, IPC6121-WD-I, IPC6511-Z20-FI, IPC6511-Z20-I, IPC6521-Z20-FI, or IPC6521-Z20-I.


When you use Internet Explorer to access the web page of an IPC to view live video, a message is displayed indicating that streaming media fails to be received.
Handling Process
Step 1 View the User Guide of the IPC to obtain the browser versions supported by the IPC.

Step 2 Use a supported browser to access the web page of the IPC to view live video.

Step 3 Check whether the fault is rectified.
  • If yes, no further operation is required.
  • If no, go to Step 4.
Step 4 Clear the Internet Explorer cache.

1. Open Internet Explorer and choose Tools > Internet Options.

The system displays the Internet Options dialog box, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Click Delete and delete the Internet Explorer cache following onscreen instructions.

Step 5 Restart Internet Explorer browser.

Step 6 Check whether the fault is rectified.
  • If yes, no further operation is required.
  • If no, contact your service provider for assistance.
Root Cause
1.  The IPC does not support the current browser or its version.

2.  The cache of Internet Explorer is full.
