FAQ-Why Is the Video Frame Rate Low When the 9000 Series Endpoint Is Interoperating with a Polycom SD Endpoint

Publication Date:  2015-08-07 Views:  426 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
When the 9000 series endpoint interoperates with the Polycom VSX 7000 SD endpoint using H.264, the video frame rate is low. Why and what can I do?
The Polycom VSX 7000 SD endpoint provides the decoding capability for H.264 4CIF videos at 6 fps only. Because the 9000 series endpoint encodes videos based on this capability, the frame rate of videos after the decoding is also 6 fps. To increase the frame rate, you must decrease the video resolution as follows: From the remote controlled UI, choose Settings > Conference and set Video resolution to CIF.
