In Red Hat 5.3, when creating file systems on the software RAID, the customer finds that the read/write performance of the file system declines.

Replace the hard disk in slot sdm. For details, see Replacing a Disk Module in Oceanspace T3000 Storage Node Troubleshooting-(V100R001C01). Root Cause
Query the system logs and the disk error information is displayed in Figure 2-24.

The log information displays that many bad sectors are generated on the hard disk in slot sdm, which exerts a great influence on the OS and leads to the read/write performance decline.

It commonly happens that disk bad sectors are generated. When there are only a few disk bad sector, the OS can handle it in its own and you do not need to replace the hard disk. If there are so many disk bad sectors that the device performance is affected. Replace the hard disk with the customer's consent.
