Application Description

1) Service Description

Have you ever encountered with the following questions during the network design phase when the base station type has been determined?

1. What kinds of baseband unit (BBU) and RF modules need to be configured for a base station working in GSM mode, UMTS mode, LTE mode, NR mode or multimode?

2. When much space for installing user equipment is required, what kinds of cabinets and how many cabinets need to be configured?

According to your requirements, 3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Configuration Principles provide you with information about types and quantity of cabinets, BBU boards, RF modules, site auxiliary materials, and licenses.

2) Documentation Description

3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Configuration Principles describes how to configure a newly deployed or inventory upgrade base station, and applies to the BTS3900, BTS5900, BTS3900L, BTS5900L, BTS3900A, BTS5900A, BTS3900AL, BTS3900C, DBS3900, DBS5900 and Lampsite.

3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Configuration Principles also help you quickly and accurately find related documents if you want to know detailed information about the base station during the configuration.

·        There are various types of BBUs and RF modules with different specifications. 3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Configuration Principles provides you a link to 3900 & 5900 Series Base Station  Technical Description for detailed information about component specifications.

·        3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Configuration Principles do not cover the hardware and cable appearance. If you want to know the appearance, see 3900 & 5900 Series Base Station Hardware Description.

The following figure shows the guidance for you to find related information using 3900 & 5900 series base stations as an exmaple.

Why I cannot see STAN 10.1 documentation? I see message "You do not have the required permissions to perform this operation".
But other document I can download.
