Availability:
This feature was introduced in M2000 V200R010. The original CME release is WRAN CME

V100R003.

Summary:
The CME allows users to reparent NodeBs within one RNC or between different RNCs
through the reparenting wizard. In addition, the CME automatically adjusts neighbor
relationships and keeps their consistency before and after the reparenting.

Benefits:
Complicated operations are integrated into an easy-to-use wizard, which improves
maintenance efficiency and accuracy.
NodeBs can be reparented in batches. This improves the NodeB reparenting efficiency .

Description:
NodeB reparenting is usually performed during network operation when telecom operators
need to reconfigure the settings of the subracks, ports, and cells within the same NodeB or
between different NodeBs. The purpose of NodeB reparenting is to meet the requirements of
network planning, network load balancing, or system capacity expansion.
Intra-RNC NodeB reparenting is the process of reparenting a NodeB from one SPU
subsystem to another SPU subsystem under one RNC. The CME allows users to perform
intra-RNC NodeB reparenting through the wizard. Users can configure reparenting data
through the Iub data planning templates provided by the CME and create the corresponding
reparenting scripts through the reparenting wizard.

Inter-RNC NodeB reparenting is the operation of reparenting a NodeB from one RNC to
another RNC. The logical homing relationship of the NodeB is changed after the reparenting.
The CME allows users to perform inter-RNC NodeB reparenting through the reparenting
wizard. Users can configure reparenting data through the Iub data planning templates
provided by the CME and create the corresponding reparenting scripts through the reparenting
wizard. The reparenting wizard automatically adjusts the neighbor relationships and keeps
their consistency before and after the reparenting.

?  In this feature, the source and destination RNCs must be of the same SPC version.
?  A maximum of 50 NodeBs can be reparented at one time.

Enhancement:
None

Dependency:
Excel 2003, Excel 2007, or Excel 2010 must be installed on the PC running the CME client.
Users must purchase and install Microsoft Office in advance.
