The Domain Name System (DNS) is a distributed DB, which applies to TCP/IP application programs and provides the conversion between domain names and IP addresses.

With the DNS, when you use certain applications, the domain names which are meaningful and easy to remember are adopted, and are resolved to the correct IP addresses through the DNS server on the network.

Dynamic domain name resolution is implemented through the query of the DNS server, and has the private DNS server that is responsible for receiving the requests of domain name resolution from users.

The Eudemon supports dynamic domain name resolution, which delivers the function of the default domain name list. Users can preset certain default domain names. During domain name resolution, users only need to enter the partial of the domain name, and the Eudemon automatically adds different default domain names to the entered domain names and then sends them to the DNS server for resolution.

For example, if a user wants to query domain name abc.com, the user can configure com in the default domain name list, and then enter abc. TheEudemon automatically connects the entered domain name with the default domain name abc.com and then sends it to the DNS server for resolution.
