1. Application Description
1) Service Description
Base station data planning is a key process in wireless network deployment. The customer can refer to the data planning result to make base station data configuration scripts during base station initial configuration.
Network planning must be completed before base station data planning. Network planning includes:
Radio network planning, such as cell location and cell transmit power
Transmission networking planning, including IP addresses and routes, and signaling point codes
Hardware planning, including the planning of cabinets, subracks, slots, and ports
Feature planning, including features to be activated and algorithms to be used
Network planning is closely related to the network, and is completed by professional service staff generally.Only after the network planning is complete, the base station data planning can be performed.
There are many different data planning methods. The method introduced here is implemented based on the MO and Parameter Reference.
2) Documentation Description
For details about how to plan data for 3900 series and 5900 series single-mode base stations or 3900 series and 5900 series multi-mode base stations, see the MO and Parameter Reference.
3900 series base stations herein include the DBS3900, BTS3900, BTS3900A, BTS3900L, BTS3900AL, BTS3900C, and LampSite.
5900 series base stations herein include the DBS5900, BTS5900, BTS5900A, BTS5900L, BTS5900AL and LampSite.
The parameter reference is an excel file. The parameter reference is an excel file. The method of how to use is as follows.

Node
Parameter Reference lists information about public parameters, and it must be
used with the parameter reference of the corresponding base station
type.
For example, for the LTE product, you need to view two excel files, that
is, Node Parameter Reference and eNodeBFunction Parameter Reference. |

2. Highlights
1) The parameter reference provides parameters that are in the charge of different service teams.

2) Parameter reference provides suggested initial values of parameters.
The following figure shows sources of the initial values of parameters.

The following figure shows the process of determining the initial value of a parameter.

3) The parameter reference provides detailed technical descriptions of parameters.
When configuring a parameter, you can refer to the MO reference to learn about the MO to which the parameter belongs and relationships of this parameter to other parameters. You can use feature name and feature ID to identify parameters related to this parameter and use the feature name or ID to find related FPD to learn about implementation details of the parameter.
