This scenario is used to cut over non-pool MMEs on the live network to the existing MME pool. These MMEs are still connected to the eNodeBs originally served. The original coverage areas of the served eNodeBs do not belong to the pool area. Usually, a part of original coverage areas of the served eNodeBs and all the eNodeBs are cut over to the pool area. If all the coverage areas of the served eNodeBs need to cut over to the MME pool, you need to perform a cutover of the eNodeBs on the live network to the pool area. The procedure for cutting over a non-pool MME on the live network to the MME pool is similar to the procedure for evolution of the existing LTE network to the MME pool network. The difference is that the former involves MMEs to be cut over to the MME pool. On the existing MMEs in the MME pool, you need to configure parameters of the MMEs to be cut over to the MME pool. |
