End of Service & Support Announcement for OceanStor HDP3500E

Dear Customers,

To help you better cope with challenges brought by market changes and technological innovations, Huawei hereby informs you of the milestones in the life cycle of OceanStor HDP3500E. Hopefully this information can give you a reference on making future network development plans.

The service of the OceanStor HDP3500E will be stopped from June 30, 2018. After that day, Huawei no longer provides any services related to the OceanStor HDP3500E (including the service hotline). However, during the period of one year from the day June 30, 2018, you may visit http://support.huawei.com to search or download the FAQ and resolved problem cases related to the OceanStor HDP3500E.

End of Marketing for new site. The EOM (newsite) date is the date from which the acceptance of the POs for new deployments will be rejected. The product is not sold any longer after the date.

June 30, 2015


End of capacity expansion marketing. After the EOM(component) date, the capacity expansion of the product will be rejected.

June 30, 2015


End of Service and Support. After the EOS,
Huawei does not provide software problem
 analysis services.

June 30, 2018

Note: OceanStor HDP3500E product has two versions.

1. The EOS date of OceanStor HDP3500E V100R002 version is December 31, 2017.

2. The EOS date of OceanStor HDP3500E V100R003 version is the same as the product, which is June 30, 2018.

3. OceanStor HDP3500E V100R002 cannot be upgraded to OceanStor HDP3500E V100R003 because they use different hardware.

Huawei suggests that you use the replacement product, which has similar features and capabilities but optimized functions. We will continue to provide high-level services for your new product.
