Logging In to the Router
Configuring Login Through the Web Platform
Networking Requirements
Procedure
- Use a network cable to connect the PC to the management interface of the router.
- Assign an IP address to the PC. The IP address ranges from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254.
- Open the web browser on your PC, enter the URL https: //192.168.1.1 in the address box, and press Enter. The login page of the web platform is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-2.
- Enter login information.
Choose a language.
Currently, the Web platform supports Chinese and English and automatically adapts to the language used by the web browser.
Enter the user name and password.
The default username and password are available in AR Router Default Usernames and Passwords (Enterprise Network or Carrier). If you have not obtained the access permission of the document, see Help on the website to find out how to obtain it.
- Click Login.
Displaying the Device Status
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 3-3, the Router connects to the IP network through Eth1/0/0, and there are reachable routes between the Router and PC.
Users need to remotely check the Router status on web pages through the PC to learn about the operating status of the Router and ensure that the Router operates normally.
Procedure
- Choose , as shown in Figure 3-4.
- Click .
- Select status windows you want to view. The selected windows are displayed in the page.
Configuring Users to Log In to the Device Using Telnet
Networking Requirements
GE1/0/0 on the Router is connected to the PC. You can configure Telnet login on the web to make users log in to the device using Telnet.
The new user supports management user access modes such as Telnet, FTP and HTTP. The three modes have security risks. Therefore, you are advised to configure the required access modes only.
Procedure
- Choose , as shown in Figure 3-6. and the User Management page is displayed
- Click , as shown in Figure 3-7. and the dialog box is displayed. Enter or select parameters
- Click and configurations for users to log in to the device using Telnet are complete.
- Enable the Telnet service function.
- Choose , and the Service Management page is displayed.
- On the page, set to , and then the Telnet service function is enabled.
- Click , as shown in Figure 3-8.
Configuring Users to Log In to the Device Using STelnet
Networking Requirements
GE1/0/0 on the Router is connected to the PC. You can configure STelnet login on the web to make users log in to the device using STelnet.
Procedure
- Choose , as shown in Figure 3-10. and the User Management page is displayed
- Click , as shown in Figure 3-11. and the dialog box is displayed. Enter or select parameters
- Click and configurations for users to log in to the device using STelnet are complete.
- Enable the STelnet service function.
- Choose , and the Service Management page is displayed.
- On the page, set to , and then the STelnet service function is enabled.
- Click , as shown in Figure 3-12.
