Installing UOS V20 (1050e) on a VM
- On the initial installation screen, select Install UnionTech OS Server 20 (Graphic).Figure 4-115 Installation screen

- Click Time & Date, select the region and city as required, and click Done.Figure 4-118 Time zone configuration page
- Return to the OS configuration page, click Software Selection, select the software to be installed (for example, Server > Development Tools), and click Done.Figure 4-119 Selecting software
- Return to the OS configuration page and click Installation Destination. Automatic partitioning is the default configuration. To customize the configuration, select the drive where the OS is to be installed, select Custom, and click Done.Figure 4-120 INSTALLATION DESTINATION screen
- (Optional) Select Standard Partition from the drop-down list box and click + to create partitions. Create at least four partitions: /, /boot, /boot/efi, and swap. Create other partitions as planned. After the partitions are created, click Done, in the displayed dialog box, select Accept Changes.Figure 4-121 Drive partitions
- Click Root Password, set the password for the root user, and click Done.
If Lock root account is selected, the root user will be locked. As a result, the root user cannot log in to the environment.

- Click Network & Host Name to go to the network and host name setting page.Figure 4-124 Network and host name configuration page
- Select Ethernet(enp1s0) and click Configure. The configuration page is displayed.Figure 4-125 Network configuration 1
- Select IPv4 Settings, click the drop-down list box on the right of Method, and select Manual.Figure 4-126 Network configuration 2
- Click Add, configure the network based on the plan, and click Save.Figure 4-127 Network configuration 3
- (Optional) Configure the host name, click Apply, and then click Done.Figure 4-128 Setting the host name
- Select Ethernet(enp1s0) and click Configure. The configuration page is displayed.

- On the OS login page, enter the user name and password.Figure 4-132 OS login screen
