Verifying On/Off-Grid Switching
Function Description
After the installer installs the device and powers on the system for the first time, the installer needs to verify the on/off-grid switching to check whether the on/off-grid switching function is normal. This operation prevents system exceptions caused by incorrect cable connections and avoids repeated site visits for rectification.
Method 1: On-Grid Operation Verification
- Check that the grid is available and the system is running in on-grid mode.
- Enable Off-grid mode for the inverter. For details, see Setting Feature Parameters.
For parallel-inverter scenarios, to ensure the accuracy of the verification results, enable Off-grid mode for all inverters to avoid switching failures.
- Check that the residential backup load power does not exceed the off-grid operating power of the inverter.
- Connect to the inverter, choose
- If the system is in on-grid mode, tap Off-grid to switch the system to off-grid mode. When the system is manually switched back to on-grid mode, the system switches to on-grid mode.
- If the system is in off-grid mode, tap On-grid to switch the system to on-grid mode.
on the home screen, and switch the mode based on the actual status. - After the switching, observe the status change on the home screen of the inverter to check whether the switching is successful.
- If switching to on-grid mode fails, the power grid may be abnormal or the grid connection conditions may not be met. Check and try again.
- If switching to off-grid mode fails, the load power may be too high or the backup load may be abnormal. Check and try again.
Method 2: Off-Grid Operation Verification
- Enable Off-grid mode for the inverter. For details, see Setting Feature Parameters.
- Turn on the main circuit breaker.
- Check that the indicator on the inverter is steady orange when the inverter is in off-grid mode due to a grid failure.
- After the grid recovers, check that the system runs properly in on-grid mode and the indicator on the inverter is steady green.
