The SmartAX MA5698 Multi-service Access Module is a 1-U high (1 U = 44.45 mm) indoor box-shaped optical network unit (ONU) developed by Huawei. As an access device for base station radio backhaul, the MA5698 receives base station data using a GE or E1 port and transmits data upstream through the upper-layer network, implementing the base station private line service.
