The OptiX OSN 1800 I/II compact equipment encapsulates all services, from low-bandwidth services (such as FE services) to high-bandwidth services into OTN frames for unified transmission. When an EDFA is added, the transmission distance can reach 170 km, which is sufficient for metro transmission. The "All over WDM/OTN" technology helps service equipment be deployed centrally at large sites and directly connected to the client equipment using the distance extension technology, reducing the number of end nodes by 30% to 90%.
