Checking Whether the Browser Configuration Is Correct

Context

The web platform supports multiple browsers. You can log in to the web platform using Mozilla Firefox 12.0 or later, Google Chrome 23 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or later. If an exception occurs when you log in to the web platform through Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, refresh Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, use a later version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, use Mozilla Firefox 12.0 or later, or use Google Chrome 23 or later.
  • When you use the IE browser and needs to switch to the command line interface through CLI in the lower right corner or transfer files, the security level must be set to Low. Choose Tools > Internet Options > Security, select Internet, click Custom level, and click Enable next to Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe, Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting*, Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins, and Active scripting. Select Local intranet and Trusted sites, and set levels to Low. Internet Explorer 8.0 is used in the preceding example.
  • When the Firefox browser is used, choose Tools > Options > Content, select Enable JavaScript, choose Tools > Options > Privacy, and select Access cookies from sites and Access third-party cookies. Otherwise, the web platform is not displayed. Firefox 12.0 is used in the preceding example.
  • When the Chrome browser is used, choose settings > Show advanced settings > Privacy > Content settings, and set JavaScript to Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) and Cookie to Allow local data to be set (recommended). Otherwise, the web platform is not displayed. Google Chrome 23 is used in the preceding example.
When the AR's software version changes, for example, the software version is upgraded or downgraded, you are advised to clear the browser cache before using the web platform. Otherwise, the display of the web platform may be abnormal.
  • When the IE browser is used, choose Tools > Internet Options > General, click Delete, select Temporary Internet files and Cookie, and click Delete to clear the browser cache. Internet Explorer 8.0 is used in the preceding example.
  • When the Firefox browser is used, choose Tools > Options > Privacy, click clear your recent history, select Cookie and Cache, and click Clear Now to clear the browser cache. Firefox 12.0 is used in the preceding example.
  • When Google Chrome is used, choose settings > Show advanced settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data, select Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data, and click Clear browsing data to clear the browser cache. Google Chrome 23 is used in the preceding example.

The web platform does not support back, forward, and refresh buttons of the browser. You may return to the login page when you use the buttons.

When the web platform has been running for a long period of time, the memory occupied by the web platform increases. Consequently, you may fail to log in to the web platform or the display of the web platform is abnormal. In this case, you can restart the IE browser and open the web platform to log in again.
