System Power-On
Precautions
- Before turning on the AC switch between the inverter and the power grid, check that the AC voltage is within the specified range using a multimeter.
- If an inverter has not been running for six months or longer after being mounted, it must be checked and tested by professionals before being put into operation.
Procedure
- Turn on the AC switch between the inverter and the power grid.
- Turn on the DC SWITCH at the bottom of the inverter.
- Connect the inverter to a mobile phone that runs the SUN2000 app using a USB data cable.Figure 6-1 Connection method
- Use the USB data cable delivered with the mobile phone. The port type is USB 2.0.
- The screenshots in this section correspond to the app version 3.2.00.001 (Android).
- Tap the username area in the SUN2000 app to switch between users (common user, advanced user, and special user).Figure 6-2 Switching between users
- The login password is the same as that for the inverter connected to the SUN2000 app and is used only when the inverter connects to the SUN2000 app.
- The initial password for Common User, Advanced User, and Special User is 00000a.
- Use the initial password for the first login and change it immediately after login. To ensure account security, protect the password by changing it periodically, and keep it secure. Your password might be stolen or cracked if it is left unchanged for extended periods. If a password is lost, devices cannot be accessed. In these cases, the Company shall not be liable for any loss caused to the plant.
- You will be locked out for 10 minutes after five consecutive failed password attempts (the interval between two consecutive entries is less than 2 minutes). The password shall consist of six digits.
- Enter the password and tap Log In.
- After the login is successful, the quick settings screen or main menu screen is displayed.
- If you log in to the SUN2000 app after the device connects to the SUN2000 app for the first time or restores to factory settings, the quick settings screen will be displayed. On the quick settings screen, you can set basic parameters. After the settings are complete, you can modify the settings in Settings on the main menu screen. If the AC switch between the inverter and the power grid is turned on but all DC switches (DC SWITCH) of the inverter are not set to ON, the Grid code parameter on the quick settings screen is empty.
- You are advised to log in to the quick settings screen as Advanced User to set parameters.
- Set the correct grid code based on the application area and scenario of the inverter.
Figure 6-3 Quick settings screen (advanced user)- Set the grid code according to the country/region where the plant is located and the inverter model.
- Set user parameters according to the current date and time.
- Set the baud rate, protocol, and address based on the actual situation. The baud rate can be 4800, 9600, or 19200. The protocol can be MODBUS RTU. The address shall be in the range of 1 to 247.
- If multiple inverters communicate with the SmartLogger over RS485, the RS485 addresses of all inverters on each RS485 route must be within the address range set on the SmartLogger and must be unique. Otherwise, the communication will fail. In addition, the Baud rate of all inverters on each RS485 route must be the same as that of the SmartLogger.
