Configuring the Function of Recording NR Signal Strength Logs
Context
The signal strength of a 5G new radio (NR) interface affects the quality of 5G links. A 5G NR interface is a wireless interface, whose signal changes cannot be detected in a timely manner. Therefore, the device records 5G NR signal strength changes in logs. The signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) and reference signal received power (RSRP) are two important indicators for measuring 5G NR signal strength. You can configure the SINR and RSRP thresholds on the device to determine the NR signal strength and record logs.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run cellular log enable
The WWAN log function is enabled.
By default, the WWAN log function is enabled.
- V300R019C11SPC100 and later versions: The WWAN log function is disabled.
- V300R019C11SPC100 later versions: The WWAN log function is enabled.
After enabling the WWAN log function, you can view changes of the cell ID or network type in WWAN logs.- When the cell ID changes, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_CELLID log.
- When the network type changes, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_NETWORK log.
- Run cellular log nr-sinr-threshold sinr-threshold
The SINR threshold used to determine the NR signal strength is set.
By default, the SINR threshold used to determine the NR signal strength is 10 dB.If the strength of received signals is greater than the SINR threshold for 10 consecutive times and the signal strength becomes normal, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_NR_SINR_NORMAL log.
If the strength of received signals is not greater than the SINR threshold for 10 consecutive times, and the signal strength becomes weak, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_NR_SINR_WEAK log.
- Run cellular log nr-rsrp-threshold rsrp-threshold
The RSRP threshold used to determine the NR signal strength is set.
By default, the RSRP threshold used to determine the NR signal strength is –125 dBm.
If the strength of received signals is greater than the RSRP threshold for 10 consecutive times and the signal strength becomes normal, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_NR_RSRP_NORMAL log.
If the strength of received signals is not greater than the RSRP threshold for 10 consecutive times, and the signal strength becomes weak, the device records the WWAN/5/WWAN_NR_RSRP_WEAK log.
