NetEngine AR600, AR6100, AR6200, and AR6300 V300R019 CLI-based Configuration Guide - Interface Management

(Optional) Manually Configuring Frequency Bands

(Optional) Manually Configuring Frequency Bands

Context

The networks of network carriers can provide multiple frequency bands for user access. When the frequency band of a network changes after cellular interfaces are connected to the network, the 5G data card automatically adjusts the frequency band accordingly, which affects stability of links.

When the frequency band of a network that you access is fixed, you can set the frequency band of the network that cellular interfaces are connected to. This prevents frequency band changes caused by frequency interference and ensures link stability.

Procedure

  • Manually configuring the frequency band of a WCDMA network
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run interface cellular interface-number

The LTE cellular interface view is displayed.

    3. Run band wcdma { wcdma1900 | wcdma2100 | wcdma850 | wcdma900 | AWS | wcdma1700 | wcdma1800 }*

The frequency band of the WCDMA network that LTE cellular interfaces are connected to is manually configured.

By default, LTE cellular interfaces automatically select a frequency band to connect to the WCDMA network.

  • Manually configuring the frequency band of an LTE network
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run interface cellular interface-number

The LTE cellular interface view is displayed.

    3. Run band lte { band1 | band2 | band3 | band4 | band5 | band7 | band8 | band12 | band13 | band17 | band18 | band19 | band20 | band26 | band28 | band32 | band34 | band38 | band39 | band40 | band41 }*

The frequency band of the LTE network that LTE cellular interfaces are connected to is manually configured.

By default, LTE cellular interfaces automatically select a frequency band to connect to the LTE network.

  • Manually configuring the frequency band of an NR network
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run interface cellular interface-number

The 5G cellular interface view is displayed.

    3. Run band nr { n1 | n3 | n28 | n41 | n77 | n78 | n79 } *

The frequency band of the NR network that cellular interfaces are connected to is manually configured.

By default, cellular interfaces automatically select a frequency band to connect to the NR network.

This function is supported only in V300R019C11SPC100 and later versions.
